Mental Health and the Gospel

Mental health struggles don't define you because you are defined by Christ. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Mental health struggles shouldn't take us off guard because Jesus told us, "In this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)

Mental health struggles strengthen your relationship with Christ because "We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose" and the good is that "those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters." (Romans 8:28 & 29)
