Family Pastor
Todd Slagle
Todd Slagle joined the staff at Antioch in April of 1999 as the Outreach Pastor. Now our Family Pastor, Todd also oversees our Men's Ministry and Children's Education Department, including the nurseries, Children's Church, Sunday School classes, and related activities.
Todd was born and raised in Maryville, Missouri. After graduating from High School in 1982, he attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. As a sophomore, Todd met his future wife, Lori. Following their graduation from college in August 1987, Todd and Lori were married in October and moved to Kansas City.
In April 1988, Lori was invited to the Easter Service at Calvary Baptist Church in Liberty, Missouri where she heard the truth of God's Word and came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ that Easter morning. God used Lori to pray for Todd's salvation and invite him to church. After several weeks of hearing the Gospel preached, Todd came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ on June 23, 1988.
In 1991, God brought Todd and Lori to Antioch Bible Baptist Church where they have been active in ministry since that time. Prior to becoming the Outreach Pastor, Todd served the Lord at Antioch in the capacity of a Trustee, an Usher and teaching an Adult Bible Fellowship. It was there that he became convinced, through the study of God's Word, prayer and the encouragement from Pastor Bob Baier and former Associate Pastor Jim Collingsworth, Lori and some friends, that he should give his life to full time vocational Christian service. In January 1999 Todd surrendered to full time vocational ministry and the following month he was called to come on staff at Antioch to begin in April.
Todd enjoys following his favorite sports teams (NWMSU Bearcats, MU Tigers, KC Chiefs, and KC Royals), reading, and spending time with his family. Todd is currently attending Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in pursuit of his Master of Arts in Christian Education. Todd and Lori live in Kansas City with their three girls, Hannah, Bethany and Madison.
