But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation.
My God will hear me.
Micah 7:7 NASB
Every year, before we know it, the Christmas season is upon us. Like the song says, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year…” The Christmas season is an opportunity to remember and reflect on God’s greatest gift, Jesus.
Traditionally, this time of the year is referred to as “Advent,” a name that simply means “arrival" or "coming.” The arrival of Jesus is the greatest gift ever given to the world. Advent is a celebration of peace, hope, joy and love that usually spans the four Sundays leading up to Christmas.
Join us as we celebrate Jesus’ first coming in the humility of an obscure birth in Bethlehem and look with eager expectation toward His second coming in glory. Advent is a reminder that God will fulfill His promises.
